InterContinental Bora Bora Resort & Thalasso Spa is defined by water, modern Polynesian luxury and one of the island’s most direct views of Mount Otemanu. Its overwater villas, pristine lagoon, botanical spaces and glass-bottomed wedding chapel create a refined setting for photography and film.
The overwater wedding chapel is one of the resort’s most distinctive photographic locations. Glass details, lagoon reflections and a direct view toward Otemanu allow the ceremony to feel connected to the landscape even before the couple steps outside. I plan exposure and positioning carefully to preserve both the people and the view.
Sessions can begin privately at an overwater villa before moving to the pontoons, beach and Otemanu viewpoints. The repeated lines of the villas create a clean architectural look, while the lagoon adds movement and colour. This combination works well for elegant honeymoon photographs and contemporary wedding films.
Coverage can include preparations in the villa, a ceremony in the chapel or on the beach, portraits at the lagoon and a private dinner. Polynesian details, flower crowns, music and cultural elements are photographed respectfully as part of the complete story. Learn more about my work as a Bora Bora wedding photographer.
The resort is also home to Deep Ocean Spa, described by the hotel as the first thalassotherapy centre in the South Pacific. Rather than turning a session into a tour of the property, we can use the resort’s calm, water-focused atmosphere to create a restrained and intimate honeymoon collection.
A discreet proposal can be arranged around a lagoon viewpoint, a private deck or a resort experience. I coordinate timing and the meeting point in advance. Its lagoon position, overwater architecture and perspectives toward Mount Otemanu can create a clean, spacious visual style. Session locations remain subject to guest access and resort rules.
The best timing varies with the season, cloud cover and selected background. I recommend a time after reviewing your date, priorities and resort schedule.
Yes, if the booked duration and wedding timeline allow. Share the complete schedule so travel between rooms, ceremony areas and portrait locations can be planned realistically.
No. Drone operations depend on weather, wind, resort permission, airspace considerations and local rules, and must be booked separately.
I also photograph at Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora, The St. Regis Bora Bora Resort, Conrad Bora Bora Nui, Le Bora Bora by Pearl Resorts and The Westin Bora Bora Resort & Spa.
